The Earth is near a tipping point in her unrelenting march onward. Recent weather events are proof of this, with seasonal changes becoming more extreme every passing year and infectious diseases cropping up more and more frequently. As Rob talks about in his article[1], our interconnectedness with the environment around us is undeniable, we are wholly reliant on the Earth to feed us, clothe us and shelter us. While there is always the possibility of technology progressing far enough to send us to other habitable planets, that technology simply isn’t ready yet. So for now, the Earth is our only home, and we owe it to ourselves, and the flora and fauna we share her with, to look after her while we are still here.

Keep an eye out for the third article in our Vegetarianism series, which talks about the changes you can make to the environment by switching to a more plant-based diet. Also be on the lookout for a post with all the resources mentioned by our amazing speakers during the second YogaEcology event.
